HOW TO REACH BOL ON ISLAND OF BRAČ

You can arrive to Bol by car, railway, sea and air. An excellent sea ferry line to Split and an airport on the island make a trip to Bol very simple.

By car:

From the north – from Zagreb by a state road  through the continental part of Croatia (Zagreb – Karlovac – National Park Plitvička jezera – Knin – Sinj – Split) or by a motorway Dalmatina, Jadran highway (Rijeka – Zadar – Šibenik – Split) or motorway Dalmatina, Zagreb (Rijeka) – Split. Once you reach Split there is a ferry line to Supetar which operates every hour during the tourist season – and if necessary even more frequent and the voyage lasts 45 minutes. Then from Supetar to Bol by 36 km long road.

From the south – from Dubrovnik by Jadran highway which is connected to the motorway Dalmatina and then to Makarska where there is a ferry line to Sumartin on the island of Brač. Then from Sumartin to Bol by 29 km long road. The alternative is by the motorway to Split, and then by more frequent ferry line to Supetar on the island of Brač.

Railway:

From Zagreb to Split there is both passenger and fast line. The railway station in Split is next to the ferry port and therefore it is very simple to continue your trip to Bol.

By sea:

You can reach Split by ferry boat from Rijeka, Dubrovnik as well as from most major Italian ports. There is also a fast coastline which connects Rijeka, Split, Hvar, Korcula and Dubrovnik. There is also a catamaran line from Split to Bol and it takes around 50 minutes.

By plane:

A plane line Split – Brač and Zagreb – Brač operates during the season. The airport is only 14 km away from Bol. There is also another option, by plane to Split from many European major cities and than proceed by ferry and bus.
